unfortunetely, many hair-straightening gels out there right now do not work very affectively. However I use VO5 Make it Straight Gel & I can notice that it straightens it a little bit. depends on wat kinda hair u have got n e wayz try blow drying it when ur hair is a bit wet, it shud stay sortof straight for sumtime but dat is only is u have wavy hair not curly......or try using a hair softner after a hair wash
