Play with a barbie doll. She has her favorite, can't take it away from her. I think she believes Barbie is another cat. Sometimes you can see her walking by the house carrying her, the way cats carries kittens.

One of my females leaped off my bed, which is about 30 feet from my front window, bounced off the floor mid-way through and smashed face first into the upper part of my front window, which is about 5 feet off the floor, while the blinds were up. She was apparently "hunting" a bird perched on a telephone line just outside. Fortunately, kitty was fine as was the window and bird. But the look on her face when she landed on the floor was priceless. She looked like she had just realized what she had done and was awaiting some terrible punishment. All I could do was laugh after I inspected her face for damage and saw that she was fine. She is my wild child.

When I was in my first apartment, I was on the top floor of an old mansion. I'd leave the "balcony" window open in the summer for several reasons, one of them was so the cats weren't cooped up in a tiny studio apartment all day.
Anyway, I came home from work one day, and only one of my two cats came to greet me. I told "Toby" to go find "Timmy." Toby goes out, runs around the building, comes back "Meow, Meow, Meow." I tell him, Ok. But where's my Timmy? Cat goes out again, comes back in a while later. still Meowing like something's up.
So I go downstairs (not sure why) and the cat's sitting on the ground floor bleeding out of his nose and mouth.
I nursed him all night, took him to the vet in the morning, told her what happened. We decided he probably fell asleep on the ledge and tried to walk, and without realizing it, walked off of it. She examined him, told him he was fine, and too get up and walk.
That was 16 years ago. He's currently sleeping on my bed. Sweetest cat you'd ever want, but dumber than a bag of rocks. Think he got brain dammaged in the fall?

this wasnt crazy, but it was amazing. a cat we had survived for a month with no food or water, accidently shut up in a storage building.
we had a farm cat, it stayed outside. it came and went as it pleased. sometimes would leave for a week, but would eventually come back.
on 4th of july, a friend of ours asked us to go to the river with him. we kept our childrens life preservers in a storage bld. when we got the LP's, the cat went in, unnoticed. we came home that night, put LP's in a house closet. after a few days, we hadnt seen cat, didnt worry, it would leave sometimes.
ON Aug 3rd, my daughter said she saw a kitten in the window of the storage bldg. we went out there and the full grown cat looked like a kitten, it was in terrible shape , but still alive. it took about 2 months for the cat to fully recover. it lived for several more years.
i live in alabama, it was hot in that building, the entire month of july. how that cat survived , i dont know, but it did.
