Please help..... I need some answers?????

I used proactive for 2 days and I only had a few pimples on my face... now my skin looks horrible ... there are raised bumps everywhere on it, they were itchy around my jaw line for one day... now the itch is gone, but my skin looks really bad...and the bumps are not going away.... they cover every part of my face...

Any suggestions?? I tried to email them a few days ago but never received a response.. and I was told that I might be allergic to the benzoyl peroxide...

I need help and suggestions on how to get rid of these bumps..

I called every dermatologist even the dermatology department for some hospitals that are around my area, and the earliest appointment that I booked was September 23...Which is crazy!!

Same thing happened to my daughter. The dr told her she was allergic not to the benzoyl peroxide (she has used other products with this ingredient without problems), but one of the other ingredients. After she discontinued use, it still took about 3 weeks for her face to calm down completely :(

It sounds like you are allergic to something in it. STOP using it and try taking some Benadryl. You will just have to wait for the bumps to go away. I don't think there are any drugs or anything to get rid of it. You can call your doctor and ask him/her for suggestions....maybe a steroid shot or something??

As soon as the allergic reaction set in, I would have gone to my physician, it's a lot quicker than trying to email the company. Barring that, your pharmacist could help you figure it out.

It sounds like an allergic reaction. Stop using it and drink plenty of water to flush it out of your system.

Hydrocortisone may help. Or Benedryl ointment, but I prefer the hydrocortisone. Maybe some oral Benedryl, it will help releive some swelling.
