Where can I find someone to hire to do cold calling for my small company ( I just need 1 person)? I need someone who knows how to call businesses and hoepfully setup a meeting. I have no script or experience in this, so they would need to know and help with everything related to this. We are a services company selling to ad agencies and the like. The person needs to use their own phone & work from their location anywhere in the US.
How much should I expect to pay? Can it be comission only?

You might be better off going with a service; there are tradeoffs of course:
Pro's for a service: - you can scale up or down (cost/effort etc) - you can get sophisticated reports etc - you can get the benefit of their expertise / experience / other services - you don't have to worry about finding / hiring / managing / firing agents
Con's for a service: - most don't take commission but get paid by the hour or "per effort" - you have to screen / check references just as diligently as hiring a person - most will only use your script and may not deliver it as well as a commission-based person will.
I've seen rates of $20 to $80 per hour depending on the type of service and quality of person. Try to get a local shop so you can stop in on them occassionally.
And of course my big question to you would be, how did you decide that cold calling is the best option to build your business? What are the other methods you plan to test and measure?
Well if you are depending on one sales person, you need to pay them well! What kind of services do you have? I have cold called for 3 years and I love it. I made up all my scripts. Make sure the person is well educated on what to sell and your company. They need to be an expert so the client puts trust into the relationship.
