How do the words that another person chooses to use affect you in any way whatsoever? If YOU choose not to use such words, that's fine, but how do your sensibilities come to affect another's free speech?
I try to temper my speech at work if someone asks me to, but if a cuss word or two slips out, that's tough ****. If they can't handle it, they can get back in their truck and go the **** home.

Yeah f*#@ those mother f*&%ers at work, they can shove it up their as#es! I'm gonna say whatever I'm gonna say and they're gonna f#$%ing like it!
Of course what you say effects the people around you. Everything you do effects the environment you are in so when you curse its going to effect the people around you.
The point is people get offended with some words and the world would be such a better place if people relized this and tried to be aware of the way the effect others with everything they do.
You are certainly free to speak how you like including all the cuss words that come into your mind, if that is how you choose to express yourself. Gad, I've used them myself, more when younger.
But you must know that being vulgar is everyday common, everyone does it. From the lowest of the low classes, on up the social ladder. So..Why would you want to be commonplace? Why not shine above the crowd? Why not be an individual and let everyone else be vulgar and classless.
Okay - honestly - I swear like a sailor... however...
I don't say curse words around my children and don't want it said around my children.
The reason for this is because young children have not yet learned to distinguish the proper times to use words like that. Older children think it's "cool" and purposely use the words because of the way it makes them feel
What the older children need to learn is that language like that used at the wrong time around the wrong people makes them look trashy and gives the wrong impression.
I don't like it said around my kids because I don't want them believing that it is alright until they learn that there is a time and a place.
