Can you help me decide on a New Years gift?

Long story short I have worked my job several years. My "bosses" are three sisters. We have been through a lot together through the years and they have been there for me through many tough times. I consider them family and I know they feel the same about me. I have decided I am not going to get them a Christmas gift but instead a New Years gift in honor of another year. But I am having a really hard time deciding what. I want it to be special, personal, and GREAT but inexpensive. I am a single parent and doing it for three of them. I would like some store bought stuff so please help me with that. But also some GREAT dessert recipes would be great too. Somethings not expensive and not too ordinary...kind of fancy but easy and fun! All help and suggestions would be so appreciated. I really do not know what to get them...PS-The desserts would be made from the children and me and I would like small things that I can put together as a variety basket for the treats!

a good New Years gift to celebrate another year would be a clock because it symbolizes time(together). for the treat basket sugar cookies are always fun and easy for the kids to decorate. fudge is easy too. I made baskets for my coworkers one year with mugs, cocoa mix, cider mix, popcorn, cokes, and a movie rental certificate. I got the baskets at thrift stores so it was pretty cheap.

Do they like coffee and/or tea? You could mix up a batch of spiced tea, put it in a glass jar with a ribbon on it, and add it to the basket of treats. You could do the same with hot chocolate, or buy some of the special flavored hot cocoa packets to include.

As for desserts...some people make New Year's resolutions to lose weight, so you may not want to give a lot of temptations in the form of cookies, etc..

You could make personalized note cards for them, or find inexpensive earrings, cute socks, or an inexpensive basket for their desks. It's difficult to know what to recommend without knowing what they like. You would know them best.
