What are some good gifts for my 11 year old niece who decided she's interested in hunting?

We've done a little hiking and animal observation over the years but when her sisters asked what she wanted for Christmas she said "huntin' stuff"

Maybe a GPS unit or a gun if she is ready and parents approve. A 22lr or a pellet gun to practice. Clothes she will grow out of quick......Maybe a game call or binos. A good set of binos will last. Maybe a set of 8-10x42. Don't buy without looking unless its a Nikon or Leupold.

I would get her a pellet gun, a book on hunting for beginners, and some camo.

She will need to understand that hunting is more then just looking at animals in the wild a good beginning hunting book will talk about cleaning the game.

Explain that to hunt you need to be a good marksman (er markswoman?) get her to practice with the gun. Maybe get a little squirrel target for it.

Camo will let her fell like a hunter.

Hunting apparel and maybe a 22 bolt action if in the funds criteria? If so you can also purchase steel spinner targets of different styles of animals set at different ranges for practice until she's learned enough about responsibility and taking her target with proper shot placement. The bolt will help control reflexive feed back.

Get her a Umarex PM Makarov Air Pistol, it replicates the famous WWII blow back Real McCoy of yesteryear. this is a very neat little pistol and it would fit great in her hands. and it's only $60, that's a great deal for a double action metal constructed .177 cal. BB pistol.

    -Full metal construction

    -Move able slide

    -Double and single action

    -Drop-out 16-shot mag

    -Fixed front and rear sights

-Powered by a single 12g CO2 cylinder (not included) housed in the grip.

    -6 1/4" long, 3 1/2" barrel, weighs 1 1/2 lbs.

Just type it in on google.com, some websites offer a full one year cover

get her some camo gear (camo pants, jackets, hats, gloves, boots etc..) also, another idea could be a pellet gun..pellet guns are fun and only used for target practice or hunting small birds and squirrels.
