US Overall Leaderboard in Yahoo Answers shouldn't go just by the POINTS.?

Question

When you go just taking into consideration of points, any person who simply answers most number of questions will lead the board.  But it will be effective if you take into considerations the number of questions asked as well as answered.

What is your take on this, friends?

It's actually possible to get up to 62 points for a single answer:  2 pts for the initial answer, 10 pts. if chosen as best answer, and up to 50 more points for "thumbs up" ratings to the answer.

The person currently leading has answered far fewer questions than a lot of other people, but he consistently is given the full 62 pts each time because a lot of people give nearly all of his answers a thumbs up - most of them long after the question is closed making it more like a popularity contest than a true gauge of the value of the answers.

That's a definite flaw in the system, and I'd like to see the points for thumbs up be cut off as soon as the question is closed just to level the playing field a bit more, but that's not likely to happen.

Added:  I also agree that the # of questions asked is irrelevant...Like someone said previously - This is Yahoo Answers.

that is not true ,i have answered over 12.000 questions and asked only 50 other people are way ahead of me with less than half the answers
and this program is not called Yahoo questions

If they did that then people would start asking just stupid questions like What color is your wallpaper just for points.
