Do you write in cursive?

i know very few men that actually write in cursive..Does it seem like cursive writing is more of a women thing? Why is that?

Interesting question! I hadn't paid much attention to it until you mentioned it. I'm now looking at notes I've taken for some items I need to work on today and sure enough, they're written in block letters.

I don't know whether it's universal, but the non-cursive writing theory seems to apply in my case.

As to why, I have no idea.

I'll be interested to see the responses to your question.

I don't think it is a gender thing. I think people just make a choice, consciously and/or sometimes unconsciously - either to write in cursive or not. Usually, when people don't write in cursive it is probably because their cursive writing is illegible to others and being that they are most likely writing to communicate, they want the other person to understand what they are trying to convey to them.

i personally do not write in cursive because it's hard for other people to understand... and its hard to read other people's writing.....i must say that i do know more women that write in cursive than men... the reason for that i don't know.....

I rarely ever write in cursive.

It has to be nothing more than an evolution of writing. It is quicker and more fluid than singles letters/symbols which is the most archaic form of hand-written communication. We have since moved on to the convenient keyboard which I imagine will be superseded by a voice activated system of some kind within the next 100 years.
