Do you look for a synonym when the preview shows asterisks?

How do you respond when you get a preview screen interrupted by asterisks, courtesy of the censor bot? Post it anyway, asterisks and all? Space the letters out or replace a letter with a number to get past the bot? Or find a more polite synonym for the word that got shot down?

My favorite is the latter. I use the word "scat," for example, a more scientific term for body wastes that does not give the censor pause. I use BS for the subset that comes from the male bovine. And say "have sex" for the f word. What are your synonyms?

Hi Barbara...I prefer to always find a politically polite way to convey the particular word or idea which would otherwise be censored. However at one time someone presented a question asking about why cats are nicknamed p u s s y cat so in this instance I spaced out the characters in order to provide the details of the answer.

I usually replace letters with symbols that closely resemble the letter (in my opinion). One question over on the music category that comes up is "What is the title of the song that has a line 'I'm a *****, I'm a saint.... and who is it by?" with the author obviously having typed out the whole word. I usually just write "*****".
