I have a Rockire Sparta Fighter joystick which y-axis seems to be not functioning correctly. It requires constant calibration since y axis does not go down to the max.
What should I do? I have already opened the bottom cover and checked the springs were still fine.

When you go to the game, the game itself has a universal calibration method that involved with people pushing button and moving joystick at a certain angle.
Look for the calibration in the game and you will find it.
If that doesn't work, take it back or buy a new one.

As you have tapered with the joystick, you have invalidated the warranty. You will have to buy a new one as you can't take the broken one back.
