Butternut, acorn, hubbard, spaghetti, zucchini?(never spell that word right!) I grow spaghetti squash. They have beautiful orange flowers. If you plant enough, you don't ever have to mow your yard!!

And good for you, too. Lots of Beta Carotene. Don't know what that does, but that is what the nutritionists say!

I live off of yellow crook necks and white patty pan squash in the summer, I grow a lot of it and give it away too. I slice it up with onion, green pepper and garlic and saute it in olive oil....so very very good. I don't have much experience with those winter squashes.
I love all squash (squashes, squashi?) except for (uh, oh) spaghetti squash. It's ok, just not my favorite. In fact, I think I'll go cook one now. I have a butternut waiting for me in the kitchen. I just cook them and eat them plain, right out of the skin.
