Do we HAVE to have the baby tooth pulled if the adult tooth is coming in behind it?

My 6 yr old son has a tooth coming in behind his baby tooth. It is one of the front bottom teeth. The baby tooth is only slightly (really slightly) loose.

Baby teeth fall out by themselves 99.99% of the time.

No, when I was 6 that same thing happened to me, and I just let it grow in behind my other tooth. Eventually my baby tooth came out, but now that I have braces, it is a bit of a pain to fix, but my teeth are almost straight now. So I would just say leave it alone and let nature take its course.

No, it is not a necessary operation. unless the baby tooth is causing the tooth behind it to come in a bad angle or your getting braces. getting a tooth pulled isnt bad, but just wait it out if hes only 6..

no you don't. if the adult tooth is coming in it will sort of push the baby tooth out. of course at sometime the tooth will get so loose that it will come out when you're eating or something like that. i think the best idea is to wiggle the tooth to make it loose and then just pop it out.

well if u think about it all baby teeth have adult teeth behind them sometime and they usually fall out themselves so....unless the adult tooth is like growing through the gum or over the top of the baby tooth,
i would say no.
