has bill watterson ever explained "hamster huey" and "the noodle incident"?

Okay as a big fan of it myself (got like 5 books of C & H) I researched 'the noodle incident'... this is what I found out:

Bill decided to never explain what the noodle incident was as he felt this would allow the reader's own mind to try imagine what Calvin could have done with noodles to become infamous. He felt by letting the reader decide it would be much more funnier. All that is really said about it is that it happened at Calvin's school.

I agree. I often wished he explained exactly what happened but I felt it was a good move by him to let me try imagine. I had a lot of fun imagining all sorts of things Calvin could've done.

About the Hamster Huey thing:
Like the noodle incident Bill never really lets us know what happens in the book. All that is really known is that Calvin loves it while his dad loathes it. A sequel to the book is made in the comics, called Commander Coriander Salamander and ’er Singlehander Bellylander. The "author" of these 2 books is Mabel Syrup, probably a reference to the sickly sweet plot the books have. Read more here:
