Which airport would you choose to transfer through? (AMS, FRA, MUC)?

I'm flying United from Dulles to Stockholm in August, and have a choice of transferring through
Amsterdam
Frankfurt
Munich
or Copenhagen
Anyone have any experiences with these (I have lots with Munich and Frankfurt but would like additional data points)?
Thanks

I'm a former Flight Attendant and I have to warn you that Frankfurt is a mess right now with all sorts of constuction. I really hate that airport.

I like AMS too but it's been years.

Here's what I'd recommend, go for the airport which has multiple flights going to Stockholm. So for example, if there is only one flight you can catch from MUC to Stockholm, but three out of AMS, I'd go for that.

I fly through FRA because there's only one flight out of AMS to where I live but while I'd much prefer to transit in AMS, I know people who have been stuck there.

At least from where I am, in a pinch, I could rent a car but Stockholm is ages away from any of those cities, even Copenhagen, so you really need to get that connection.

The idea is if you miss your the Stockholm, will you be able to get out that day. You never know. I go for peace of mind over a shorter walk and better duty free!

AMS all the way! I have experience with fly into and out of both MUC and FRA, and AMS is by far the way to go.

-the shopping selection is fantastic!!!
-the airport is light and airy
-they had a TON of food courts
-it is one of the largest airports in Europe, yet its layout doesn't give you the feeling that you are wandering in a maze.
-they have a little museum in the international terminal and I always like going there, its fun to just go through and its nice after (for me) a 10 hour flight from SFO.

overall, I would most definitely fly through AMS, not that MUC or FRA are bad, AMS is just better.

Amsterdam is the best of those airports, and Copenhagen is good too. Unfortunately United is terrible. But I would say, of those airports, go through Amsterdam.

Amsterdam or Copenhagen would be the closet from Stockholm.
Munich and Frankfort, you must "come back" and go north, so makes no much sense anyway.
