My mom's having some computer problems - when she starts up the computer it just goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor. She can't get into safe mode or system recovery. HELP PLEASE!
No discs in drive - has been unplugged - we're trying to start it with just the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. CROSS YOUR FINGERS!

This happened to me and what I did was change the hard drive and download everything again. But before you do anything, take it somewhere where they can diagnose the problem with a professional.

check the bios make sure hard drive boots first that might be the prob laso check floppy drive if you have one
