Seniors have you ever had computer problems?
As we seniors know, sometimes we have trouble with our computers.
I had a problem yesterday, so I called Eric, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over.
Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem..
As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?
He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired,'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'
Eric grinned ... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?
'No,' I replied.
'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'
So I wrote down: ID10T
I used to like Eric, the little bas*ard..

Imma gonna steal this one! ha ha ha
PS Wish I had an Eric next door, although he'd get a 'Kick Me' sign on his back as he was leaving.

F11 doesn't really do anything except remove the status bars top and bottom. I don't know how it could have gotten rid of your pop-ups, but more power to you, I guess. I have fixed some minor problems with the computer but would never touch the insides of it. Aside - we had to send the laptop to HP when it crashed a few months ago. They had it picked up, fixed and shipped back at no charge within 5 days, but when it got back, my husband asked me why didn't they fix the keyboard? I didn't know what he meant. It turns out the N key markings have rubbed off, so the key is blank. I'd never noticed because I never look at the keyboard when I type and he does. He says it's been gone since about a week after we got it. LOL

Reminds me of the UK TV Comedy Series, "Yes, Prime Minister", where Hacker, the PM, wrote in the margin of a Memo "Round Objects", meaning a complete and utter load of balls (rubbish). He was told later that someone had written the question "Who is Round, and what does he object to?"
Very cool story.

LOL - my daughter used to make me feel like that sometimes but not with computers. I used to have to fix hers all the time. She made me feel like an idiot with cell phones and all the new gadgets.
