You're talking New York City, not New York State, right?
Filmmaking, plus prestige, equals New York University. It's one of the top film schools in the world.
Other reputable programs in film exist at Columbia University, at the School of Visual Arts, and at the New School. But NYU is far above them.

Hmm.. well, not sure about the film making but I know Columbia University in New York is a pretty good school and an Ivy.

NYU comes to mind. Their film school supposedly rivals USC's film school in terms of prestige.
