Any used car may or may not be "reliable". What would you rather own..an early Mustang (which will only increase in value) or a 1970-1990 Chevy, which will also appreciate (if you get the right model, year and options) or a Japanese, German, or Korean pos which will only depreciate and which won't be any more reliable than the Ford or Chevy?

I know which I'd prefer - a 1970 Chevelle SS 396..but, like bellybuttons, everybody has an opinion..Thanks for the two points and good luck!

Buy something Japanese. Hondas and Nissans have been known to go beyond 200,000 miles.

I just bought a used Saturn. Two days later, $700 in repair bills. No joke.

Honda's and Toyotas are the most reliable.
