Is there anyway to see who is using my wireless network?
I've been getting some very bad latency as of late, and I suspect that perhaps someone has hacked my wireless router. Is there anyway of checking who is using the router, wireless, wired, or otherwise?
If I do find that someone is using my wireless network, is there anyway to ban people from using it, or is the only way to stop them by changing my router's password?

Connect to your router first, it will be a url similar to this:
http://192.168.1.1/
Enter username and password, then go to where it says anything about "Attached devices, active devices, connected drvices..etc) It looks like this: http://www.farina1.com/dg834g/attached-devices.jpg
That should do it, you can block the unwanted users if you are the owner of the router..
Yes, change your router's password and remember you can always secure the connection with a WEP key if things get out of hands.. Sample of a WEP key: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/nwam/stateoftheart/linksys/linksys-wep-64.png
Open an Internet browser program. Type 192.168.1.1 for netgear routers or 192.168.0.1 for dlink, or linksys, not sure. Enter your account name and password. Look for the Maintenance tab, click 'Attached Device'. See how many devices are attached. If you only have one computer attached and you see 2 in there then yes there is someone else using accessing your wireless router. Just changed the password on your router. Make sure WEP is on and put Encryption key. If you already have wep on then changed the Security encryption key. Remember the encryption key so you can connect your laptop to your router. Reboot router.
I do recommend to change your password anyway, if you have any suspision of hijacking. This doesn't require too much effort but you will be sure. Also set the strongest available security method in your router and even probably a combination of many (password plus address filtering).
Actually to see if someone uses your Internet connection is pretty easy. You have to login to router's web interface and find section where all online users are displayed. There are their network addresses and computer names. It depends on the router.
There is a way to ban specific user by blocking his network adapter address (known as MAC address). But this will not help much, because it can be modified.
