Hi! I've a asrock motherboard that support ddr 400mhz ram. Now I have it equipped with 2 512mb modules at 133mhz. I have two questions:
1) Is it really worth an upgrad with 2 modules of 1gb each at 400mhz?
2) If I buy modules at 666 mhz will my system work at 400 or is not compatible?

Your ram is actually running at 266 if its DDR (2X133) which would be PC2100. I would definately yank it out and replace it with all 3200. I doubt your board will run 667 DDR. Figure about $100 for 2 sticks of Corsair 1GB DDR3200 which might not be cost effective if your computer is old.

Upgrading ram is the easiest, fastest and cheapest way of speeding up your computer. if you go to Newegg.com you can find the right ram for your comp and the cheapest anywhere. also ram with a higher fsb than you mother board will work fine but wont go faster than you motherboard can go.
