Can a jeweler change a ring bandwidth??

Hello,

I have gotten my wedding bands online and didn't realize until now that the bandwidth on my ring is wide. When I tried it on with my engagement ring, I can barely move my finger. Can a jeweler change the bandwidth? I think its 3mm and I want it 1mm.

Actually I'm not sure the bandwidth but I know its too wide for my finger and want it smaller.

I should also add that the rings are tungsten metal, if that makes any difference.

Tungsten can not be sized. It's too strong of a metal. So, no they can't change the band width.

If the ring is a good quality ring (made of gold or sterling silver), just about any jewelry store can change it to a new stone. If it is a piece of inexpensive costume jewelry, most jewelers will tell you that it would cost more than the ring is worth.

Yes, they can change the width. Depending on the experience of the jeweler, they probably would have to send it somewhere. It also depends on the quality of the metals used for the rings.

yes, band width can be trimmed down to desire width using filling techniques. increasing the width means a new ring has to be made.
