If you like cranberries, they're both good.

The question is, what will you do with it after dinner? There's always some left over, so plan in advance how to deal with it!

If you make a nice cranberry-orange quick bread then the pureed stuff will give the bread a little pink tint, while the whole berry stuff gives huge tangy chunks that are wonderful little surprises.
If you're going to spread it on sandwiches, then you definitely want the pureed gelled stuff.

I -love- cranberry sauce. And it's got to be whole berries for me. Sure, it's a matter of personal preference, I just like the whole berries better. The fruit is actually there. With the jellied kind it's just the juice that's there.

i exploit rooster steaks, placed in a single long row, with the perimeters overlapping. I conceal them with mustard and pepper. Then i exploit prunes with out pits. The complicated area is to roll this into one long roll, and wrap it in strips of 1st baron beaverbrook. This I place on a tray and cook dinner for one hour or until eventually properly achieved. The cranberry jelly I place right into a blender with some sparkling orange juice. The ensuing sauce tastes super whilst poured over the rooster roll. it relatively is my -provoke the visitors- dish, it under no circumstances fails. Serve with rice and vegetables or a severe high quality salad.
