My cat doesn't purr and meows like a kitten?
He is 3 year old and I have had him since he was 4 weeks. Does anyone else have a cat like this? My 8 year old female purrs even when she is angry and is quite vocal when she wants something.

Some cats just need more motivation before they decide to purr. My cat reserves her purring for select moments, but she'll talk your head off. :)

ah I was given two siamese kittens and one (Micah)of them won't purr at all for the first month of having him but the other(Mikko) started purring as soon as he got to know the family. after a while Micah started following me around the house and wanting me to hold and pet him as soon as I did he started purring. now he will purr if anyone pets him.
