My Honda civic has a lot of static electricity.?
How do you solve your static electricity problems? I ran a small cable from the frame to ground, didn't change anything. You get bitten pretty good with the static electricity.

Buy the anti static ground that you can attache to the rear of the car they really do work , plus check that cars engine block ground and clean it thoroughly.
Hope that helps and best of luck , don't forget to clean the electrical system , battery posts and all too

yeah, i had a '00 civic and it shocked the hell out of me. don't wear jeans and a t-shirt in the stock seats.
i ended up buying cheap leather seat covers (about $15 each) and never touched the seat fabric again.
the ground straps should work; there are a lot of cars with them hanging down.
maybe the anti static spray will work, i never thought of that when i had my problem.

I think you can buy something that clips to the under carrage of your car that hangs down. It's a strip of rubber that has a metal piece ran through it. Once the car stops it touches the ground and grounds the car.
Not sure if this thing actually works though.
