A short poem inspired by the name Brilliant Blue?

Brilliant Blue
By Semper Fi Reborn

A hue of calmness
Of serenity and peace
Inspired by grace and well being
Music
Laughter
Harmony comes to mind
Singing birds
Flowers of the field
Serenaded by honeybees
Life continues to flourish
I hear the voice of life all around me
Like an eternal whisper in my ear
I close my eyes
Lay down on the sands of time
At the shores of my memories
Breathing deeply
On a day where the skies are a brilliant blue

It is a beautiful poem, I showed it to my wife who started laughing hysterically and said "he can't possibly be talking about you can he?"

I was trying to find a line even that sort of described me but I actually couldn't. Actually this might describe me 2 weeks a year out of the city on vacation. I do know it was about the name and not the person but I am glad the name brought you inspiration..

The poem is eloquent and so moving. Did you recently have a baby or is this from an experience? I've told you before and I will tell you again, you need to do something with your poetry. You could easily find a publisher. This one is just plain lovely. Congrats are due you if you did have a child. God is good. Praise be to God.

A beautiful poem indeed my friend. Brilliant Blue does not reflect a lot of this in his posts, but he does raise some interesting questions. I would be intrigued to know how he would respond to this. I closed my eyes and sighed with the imagery induced calm I received from the eloquence of your words. God has given you such a profound gift! I love to read your poetry. Love and God bless, Pami

This is beautiful poetry. I don't often log on Semper Fi, reborn, and when I do, and I see one of your poems it lifts my heart.

Thank you.

Nice! I can smell the ocean. ((((smile))))

For my birthday, someone just gave me a framed picture that reads, "Laughter is the Music of the Heart." Your poem just reminded me of that.

God bless you.
