What do you think Geert Wilders is hoping to achieve with his Fitna film?

I can think of quite a few motives myself, like;
1. More votes in the next election...
2. Sincerely wanting to warn people for "the dangers of Islam"...
3. Political propaganda against "the enemy"...
4. Getting a well paid job for a right-wing think-tank in the USA...
5. National and International publicity...
6. Having cartoons drawn of himself by wellknown cartoonists...
7. Craving attention...
and I could go on for a while longer...

But I'd like to know what YOU think his motives are...

Warn people.
He wanted to show that there is a clash of cultures, and there is no balance in the way both parties are handling things. Muslims can openly insult and denigrate other religions, can officially discriminate and allow "Muslims only" into entire cities, and much, much more. Want special preferences and zoning changes for then to freely build mosques throughout the world. (Try to build a Christian church in any "Muslim" country). They cry fault whenever someone speaks up, in any way about their religion, or when someone place doubts in the claimed fact that Islam is the "Religion of Peace". And then they organize violent demonstrations, threaten will attacking and killing those responsible for expressing their minds.
Fitna's intention was to demonstrate that Islam's most basic teachings, quoted directly from the Q'uran, far from being peaceful guidelines, are instructions on how to spread the religion through the world, by means of violence and intimidation. And these points are reinforced by actual discourse from Islam's most public figures. So the movie quotes the most sacred book, and plays actual footage of themselves. Geert Wilders does not insult Islam. Certain Islamists do. Very publicly. And people refuses to listen. Why? That answer escapes me.
Geert Wilders has proved his point. Loudly.

I'm an American and even we(yes us) have heard about his film.

1. Warn people from the dangers of terrorists

2. Win more votes in Parliament(as you said)

3. Attention(also as you said)

4. More attention

Mile 66 you can build church in any secular country with a Muslim majority, and there are lot`s of secular Muslim countries throughout the world though you will never see them in Wilder`s movie.

If you want to criticise Islam do so but don`t do it using untrue arguments like this. You`re just being a liar.

To be specific, the secular countries with Muslim majority are;

Azerbaijan
Turkey
Kosovo
Indonesia
Turkmenistan
North Cyprus
Kyrghzistan
Uzbekistan
Turkmenistan
Kazakhstan

and Im sure there are couple more that I can`t recall now.

his real intentions are only God known but my preception is he wants muslims sweeped away out of europe and of course his name up in google.
my opinion is such people would do anything to gain publicity they just follow whats hot at the time and they just add to the fuel.
