I know that certain drugs demote the production of androgen (testosterone) in males.

If one were to use such a drug to promote breast growth in a male (theoretically), wouldn't that shorten the male's life expectancy because of the fact that males are kept healthy by testosterone?

I mean, if here were biologically male, wouldn't estrogen shorten his life span?

I understand what your getting at, but it doesn't answer the really question 'If a biological male (originally male) takes hormone replacement will it shorten his life expectancy?

Not sure. You will have to do some research on that one.

What does come to mind is that guy who was on Oprah recently and is pregnant? Of course, he used to be a female and just kept his female reproductive organs in tact, but that would be the opposite of your question.

Would he still be healthy if he was getting more testosterone then estrogen?

Supposedly his baby is healthy, but it does make you wonder.
