I know exactly what you mean...it is hilarious to hear such misguided nonsense.
To who it may concern:
The people in Iraq who call themselves Al Qaeda are not THE Al Qaeda. They are a mangy bunch of (used to be under control of Saddam) ne'er do wells who have opened a new franchise.
The real Al Qaeda has been kicking back in the tribal regions of Pakistan laughing at you and your President.
Al Qaeda is NOT pinned down in Iraq as Bush has told you, but rather has been busy infiltrating the military and the government of an unstable country with nuclear weapons.
They are now threatening to attack the west with weapons of mass destruction, so if there is a big flash in "your backyard" that is probably where it came from.
While your President has been wasting our military resources in Iraq to make his buddies rich, Bin Laden and the boys have been regrouping for their next attack.
Your President has said that they are no longer a threat, but insists the wanna-bes in Iraq are.
You can blame your President, and yourself for supporting him, for the next attack on our soil.

I'm not one of those that believed that slogan, but 2 things...
1. "They" are already here. They come and go as they please because we are free society. They come here under false pretenses and there is no way for use to distinguish "them" from "the others".
2. They don't need IEDS and other such weapons to harm us.

"there" is Iraq and Afghanistan. and it was there that we went, blazing guns, big talk and death behind our bullets and bombs. We are doing nothing other than destroying Iraq. We do this because those with means have left. Those that remain are fearful. the bush administration would like to stay forever, with their puppet governments and their weapons
Stop believing this "lets beat them there" scenario. We did that when we stormed in Iraq sitting atop our mighty tanks, spreading no more than fear.

There is no logic to this term. Iraq was never part of "them" when the extremists say fight "them" over there. Pro-war activists use the most simplistic slogans to validate ill thought out approaches to very complex challenges.
