Are You & Your Candidate against Amnesty? Check out what they just pulled over on the American People...?

An amnesty amendment!!! - to the Iraq War Funding Bill. By doing so, members of the Senate Finance Committee not only snuck controversial amendments into a bill that funds our servicemen and women, but they chose to attach guest worker amnesty provisions that the American people flatly rejected in 2007!

5-year amnesty visas to 1.35 million illegal alien agricultural workers ..PLUS!!!!! their families!!
by granting them "emergency worker status."

Please read it all...There' more!!!

I live in an AG area(Northwest), and there is no-one except Mexicans out in the fields, and orchards. It is not a job that Americans won't do as Mr. Bush says. If a white guy tries to work in a field with them, he is outnumbered, and is driven out, meaning that he is usually at least threatened with a knife by the end of his first day. Any of you can say that this is Bull$h**, but I live here, and I see it happen. Many of them that have the guest worker thing figured out go from working fields to higher pay construction jobs. This is not what a guest worker is supposed to be doing is it?
Our government has proven themselves ineffective with border security. Virtual fences...WTF is that?! Them leaving our borders basically wide open really proves to me that the whole Patriot Act is aimed at US citizens, not outside invaders. How much havoc could terrorists wreak by sneaking a crate of stinger missles across our 'virtually'open Mexican border? Airport security wouldn't be able to do a damn thing to stop them from (shooting down) blowing several planes up. But I can't take my shampoo on the plane-lmao!
Seeing our government work on restricting its citizens instead of real potential threats- like open borders, and illegal immigration, shows me that there is some other agenda behind the curtain. This gets me back thinking about the world bank running things, and what the benefit is to them.
Ask yourself if your voting for one of the candidates who want to continue to leave our borders open, and let those who don't belong here stay on our dime.
Ron Paul won't... Go Ron Paul!!

I suggest that the upper limit for contributions be done away with, and that the maximum payouts in retirement still remain as they are, adjusted for inflation. Social security is not a "give away" program but one that we all contribute to like a savings plan, and should be protected from other uses by the government. Do you agree or disagree and why? If you are so worried about it then why don't you; first put it back into the private sector and make to were no can take out money from it for their own interest, second pay back every penny you have borrowed from both Social Security and Medicare, third take the illegal immigrants off of it and those who come over here but never paid a penny to it, and lastly have it the same for everyone; in other words government officials are to participate in it and if they want something more they do it on their own without the tax payers funding it?Yet, the monetary stytem feeding the imbalances had never been really changed. They, a group of scholars, suggested that all interest rates would be 3% or less for everyone to become rich if desired (that must be true also to taces). The best economic situation would be, they said, when there were no interest rates. Why not try this solution? The rich would still be rich. My question is: when soial security becomes a problem connected to federal debts, why not work with a balanced or gain budget and spend no more than comes in, as any family has to strive for? Why not ban all loobying gifts in order to get laws that serve the country? God bless America.

What is wrong with this country lately? All the things that make America the best country in the world are going out the window and everyone is too busy watching American Idol to pay attention. Americans: Stand Up, Speak Up, and March

I'm pretty sure that was last week, and was knocked out early this week due to protests. I'll check, though.

I found this:

"In the face of enormous opposition from both sides of the aisle, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid opted to drop the agricultural amnesty from the Iraq Supplemental Spending Bill.

Reid decided to drop language, submitted by Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Larry Craig, that would have given a path to citizenship for 1.3 million illegal agricultural workers, as well as their families. "

that was at numbersusa which usually tracks these things.

On the other hand, there is also discussion of H2B visas, and as long as they aren't trying to be cute (and I know Congress is almost addicted to being cute) H2Bs have generally been a good program. People come, work, and go home. They don't even bring family, it is strictly seasonal. They have to show they left last time to come again. This is a program that may have flaws that need to be reviewed, but was scaled back last year, in my opinion, to raise pressure on getting 'comprehensive' immigration reform, and it almost seems like a common sense fix is being held hostage for that.

Mind you, according to what I saw at numbersusa, Congress IS trying to be cute on this, but I haven't read the text of the bills. Isn't it a shame that unless the bill came from Ron Paul's office, we'd have to comb it to make sure it wasn't written against the interests of American citizens? The crabbing and hospitality interests should go to him and have him write it. Another benefit is that it would only, then, be a handful of pages long.

Bush has vowed to veto this bill if it hits his desk as is. It further restricts the next President on the handling of the Iraq war. McCain has also vowed to vote against it. The Dems have loaded this bill with billions domestic spending as well. They would use the welfare of our soldiers in Iraq to get through what the people already rejected in 2007. These are the people some want in power in 2009. Crazy. I forgot the link - even though it won't stop the thumbs down - they never like things like "facts" thrown in their face.
