The thing with the older and newer deck debate is this: the newer decks play a different strategy than the older ones. With each new card pack that comes out in Yugioh, the game changes, it evolves! That's where the older decks end up having problems. Newer decks are all about speed, a lot of decks like the Six Samurai or Dragunity Deck manage to summon high lvl monsters within the first two turns. Older decks can't do that. However, it is possible to take an older deck, like the Dark Magician Deck, and update it, in a way. All you have to do is add some newer cards to it. For example, Dark Magician Decks can be turned into Spellcaster or Spell-Counter decks, which can both use the Spellcaster Synchro Monsters to pawn. A completely old deck really can't do anything against a new deck, no matter how you build it. You will have to get some of the new cards to at least update your old deck, or you could try playing a completely different deck. Whichever route you go, I wish you the best of luck.

dude, I don't know why people even think about warwolf, it's 1500 attack, so unless its a direct attack, what are the chances of attacking with it at all?

golden ladybug also suck, 500 life points doesn't do anything, even if somehow you had it in your hand for 10 turns(almost impossible) or had 2 for 5 turns, thats only 5000 extra points...with my dark armed deck, i can give all that damage in about...1/2 turn to2 turns. gain life never works I tell you, and the main objective of this game is to take away life point, not gain.

mask dragon though...I suggest you make a dragon deck with them, since you already have 3, it would be extramly useful. even if you don't, when one dieds, you summon the next one, that one dies, you summon the 3rd one...great card.

If your deck doesn't have a theme, then I suggest the Warwolves and the Ladybug. Warwolves will stop Traps and Ladybug will gain life. However, I highly suggest making a deck with a theme as a random deck won't fair very well in a tournament.

definately the warwolves and golden ladybug especially if you dont have a theme. masked dragon only works around a dragon theme and the warwolves are just plain great and golden ladybug is good for life point recovery.
