I am shopping for a new computer anybody have any comments on "Gateway" brand. I have a "HP" now?

There will be many "gateway sucks" and "HP sucks" comments. The bottom line is that every brand has a chance of sucking or being great. If you find something you like then go for it. Your chances of getting a decent computer are pretty good. One thing I would do with Dell, HP, gateway, etc is to format and reinstall as soon as you get it home. They put extra crap on there that you don't really need.

I don't have one, but I have used them in places I've worked. They seem to be good ones. I have a Dell.
