I'm new. How long does Yahoo's "coffee break" take?

Bummer...I'm not able to answer any of the questions I bring up. I get the same "coffee break" message.

This is getting frustrating. I was not able to answer any questions for over 6 hours yesterday and today it stopped for me around noon so now it's been 6 1/2 hours. I even emailed them for assistance. Makes me think I'm doing something wrong but can't be too wrong is a received 2 best answers today. I'm new and already want to stop helping people because of now not being able to answer anybody! ;0(

A lot of people have been having problems since the updates a few days ago. It's possible you've reached your limit for the day. It's more likely a problem with special characters.
For many people the problem is happening when they use a special character in an answer, especially '%'. The workaround seems to be to use an 'x' or something to post originally, then go back into 'edit' and change to the character you need. This approach has been working for me all day today.

Normally a coffee break is to last 10 - 15 minutes top
and not hours or days.
they can also take their coffee with them to the computer

When I get the message, I assume it is a nice way of saying "try again"...If I keep getting the message, I will usually leave the question and go to another. That seems to make the message stop....

I think Yahoo takes a coffee break when there are too many people trying to answer at once. It can vary.
