The old jokes seem to be painting McCain as a harmless nice old man who's just not quite there and fit to be president. That's not such a big deal up against all the more aggressive attacks on Obama. It also seems to be covering up the "angry McCain" image. Thoughts?

That's why I usually include "angry" as well as "old" when discussing him. And he is angry and old, regardless of how many hard-core republicans give me a thumbs down in his defense.

I think the old jokes show a total lack of respect for older people. Every time I here one of these jokes, I lose total respect for the person saying them. Older people have a lot of experience, and we can learn from them. Since when is experience a bad thing. I think McCain's ad's show that he is not to old to put up a good fight!!!

yes, the majority of voters are 55+ and when you hit to close to home with a voter, you lose their vote. while the youth will undoubtedly be pro- obama. they will be too busy on election day to actually vote and will therefor let the older generation decide this election once again. (our youth is lazy and they want instant gratification and feel that anything you have to wait for is not worth having) when in reality it is the other way around!
