Not sure how to do this- Math?

Find the point or points (x, y) that satisfy the given constraints and give the stated objective.

Given: x+2y>6
x+3y>7
x>0, y>0
Minimize: 3x=4y"

Where I have > I really mean > or equal to, but I couldn't figure out how to type that. Also, how would I maximize it?

ok. not 100% on this but... here goes...

on the first inequality, solve for x. u get x>6 - 2y

then take that and plug it in for x on the 2nd one.

so u get (6 - 2y) + 3y > 7. solve for y.

y > 1

so back substitute that into the thing where u solved for x.

x > 6 - 2(1) ............... x> 4

plug your x and y values into the Minimixe function. 3(4)=4(1)

that gives u 12 = 4, obviously untrue. since y is ">" 1, it can be higher. make y=3, and you get 12 = 12.

i hope that's what the problem is asking.
