everyone knows the nature of what a physical therapist does, but it seems nobody knows about occupational therapy...This is what I am going to school for, and would like to know how many people know what it is, just say yes or no.

Only because I'm a student nurse though, and I've had the opportunity to spend some time with a few occupational therapists when I've been on placement.
Before I started training I'd heard about occupational therapists, but I didn't understand what their role was.

Yes. They help people with disabilities to live a normal life taking into account their condition.
