Should I get a Master's Degree?

I work at Walmart and I am graduating this year with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. I like working at Walmart and feel like I want to work there for the rest of my life. Should I study to get a Master's Degree if I don't really want to work in that field, since I still want to work at Walmart? Would it be worth all the time and investment?

I suspect there are a lot of career paths at Walmart. There are people in marketing, logistics, data science, IT security, and so many other things.  What would you ultimately like to do in that company - that should guide your choice of future study.

I don't particularly enjoy working at Walmart either but here we are.  I'm gonna be working here for the rest of my life no matter how many PhDs in Quantum Nuclear Electrical Biomedical Physics I manage to acquire.  That's the way the job market works.  Is it even really work if you're not miserable the whole time?

Bro,You don't need an expensive master's degree at Walmart. But you DO have an ideal setting for conducting sociological research. Get with it!

Sounds like you found your calling.  Forget the masters.

You will find it is a useless piece of paper that will just leave you hopelessly in debt and overqualified for most jobs.  You will get more traction with a BS.

You can do both so that your uni stuff won't go to waste. You can keep your Walmart job for the weekend.
