I'm glad she did what she did.

House Republicans can't pony up to any responsibility and I don't think it needs to fall on Dems YET again.

Nancy Pelosi doesn't deserve many of the attacks that are sent her way.

This time, she does.

Overall I believe this bailout plan is a bad idea, but we have basically run out of good ideas until somebody puts together we need to get more money into government to pay off the National Debt AND we need to seriously cut spending. We NEED BOTH, both Republican and Democrat ideas, to fix this.

And they were finally working together. Pelosi, Reid, Bush, Obama, McCain, etc. They were finally working together and working for real compromise, and did it in such a way that, even if we got a bad idea, it at least had oversight so that it might turn good or at least not be too bad.

And then she went into attack mode. She couldn't let the Bush Administration or the Republicans alone for just a couple of days so that they could keep this thing together and do SOMETHING. ANYTHING.

She does not deserve any hoorays or accolades this time. She deserves every attack that comes her way on this.

I am tired of all the finger pointing and blame by both political party's. Nancy Pelosi should not have given political inflammatory statements like she did. It only causes division and more in fighting between party's, end result, the tax payers end up being the losers. Nancy missed a chance on being a hero to the tax payers and her constituents by complimenting both party's on working out a deal to help our economy. This could have help both party's look good helping our economy by working together. She blew it and my view of her is pretty low.

I don't like the idea americans have to pony up the dollars for all that vacant property and bad loans. Let the fat cats get thinner leave my money alone. The stock market took all of my 401 k money I now have to work until I 'am 85 years old anyway. After we buy up that toxic paper who is going to mow the lawns and keep those houses ready to sell any way? How about another 700 billion where did they get that number out of thin air like the loans they were making? We might just need to start making things over here in this country again. Dollar ain't worth much. Do you speak Chineese?

I don't think it is quite time to celebrate, especially for a problem like this where there are no easy answers. However, I am amazed she actually found a spine to say no to this. I think maybe if everyone sends their representative a fraction of the money they saved a tax payers, maybe they can make a regular habit of this. Right now, Pelosi and everyone who voted against this bill saved every man, woman and child in the US ~$2,300 in taxes.
