Personally, from the Democrat perspective, I think it was such a poor job by Bush.

McCains loss was due to two things. The first was the great job Obama did at tying McCain to Bush. The second thing was the media. They never gave the GOP a fair shake. They wanted to be a part of making history for a black candidate. Didn't care about making history for a woman VP.
There's been too many studies in the past two weeks to show the media's bias. What's unfortunate is we need the media to keep an eye on things for the people, but the media is no longer trusted. They know it but it's too late to earn the trust back.
