bought used engine that is good 99 model engine putting it in a 96-97 model van that head over heated . will not start wants to but doesn't have fuel , like i said wants to but doesnt start up and run

it could be a computer problem the original computer might not be able to run the newer motor. that's if the newer one you bought didn't come with the computer and u just had it ran through the old one. with when and if it does run could possibly cause other problems for example the transmission. there is other possibilities thou. good luck with your unfortunate problem.
