Question about Craiglist ads ,,,, To Good to be true prices?

OK... I know these ads are scams ,,,,,2005 2006 2007 Car or truck for 3888 or 4500 .... 70 Road Runner for 5500.00 ... and they all have highlited email address...

My question is
WHAT DO THEY GET out of these types of ads ?

Does it download something on to your hard drive and then steal all your information off your hard drive after you reboot ? Like the ones that were on the ebay motors pages for a while ?

Or is it just spyware that steals your email password ?

Or something I haven't even thought Of ?

OK... great answers. But not real world answers.
Example ads: some might get deleted before you see them. But they are scams. But what are they trying to get from me or you ?

Think. You never buy anything major without first seeing it work or doing a test drive. Take the vehicle to a mechanic and have them check it over before you buy it. Any honest person will be ok with that as long as you provide them with verifiable ID.

There are losers out there with nothing better to do with their lives than see how many people bite on their ads. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Lol, you can get screwed by one of your local used car salesmen. Why should you have to go on the internet to do it? There is a guy I used to work with that sold used cars and they had a game they used to play to see how outrageously they could screw over older people on used pieces of junk cars. He was proud of it too...

not everything is a scam.

sometimes there really is a deal to be had out there.

there are many reason why something might be sold for less then its worth. inclusing the person is hard up on luck & needs cash fast to feed the family, keep the heat on ...........

Normally it's a car dealership trying to get a call. They may not have the car posted in the add, but they'll try to sell you something comprable. (My guess)
