Is this Craiglist ad a scam?

I think I've just been scammed. To make everything real short this person was trying to ship me a car from Virginia for a very very affordable price and I fully believed it. She asked for the following info: Full name of receiver, physical address, phone number and also motor vehicle registration name and address needed for title transfer. So I gave all that info. I never made any payments through Google Checkout though, since she said I could do so after receiving the car. After a while of thinking, this just seemed waaaaay too good to be true.

Could she use this info for something bad for me and my family? I'm kind of worried. Do you think it's really a scam? Can you guys plz help me out by PRETENDING to be interested? If she says it's available then let me know so I know for sure it was a scam?

Update:

I forgot to mention the shipping was going to be free since this was a charity sale according to her. The car is what I'm saying is affordable.

okai well i emailed her ... ill edit this answer if & when i recieve one back from her

    ******EDIT******

I got a mail back from her:

"The car is still available for sale for $2600.00 with NO other hidden costs. It's a charity sale. It has only 97,693 miles (original miles). The title is clear of any liens. The car runs great, impeccably maintained. It has a very good mechanical and cosmetically condition. It looks exactly as in the pics. For more details & full description go to: http://honda-civic-hybrid.auto.officelive.com/ (if the link doesn't work, copy and paste it into a new browser page). If you are still interested get back to me so we can discuss further details. I'm waiting for any other question.

    Thanks, Brenda"

..so im guessing it is a scam if its still available..

Well she knows where you live. and can charge numbers against your phone number. And has your name. So unless she has connections not sure what kind of I.D she can make from that info.

But It is generally not a good Idea even in car transfers to give up that information. All they really need is your name and the rest of the title you can fill out yourself. So ya I would think it is a scam. you didn't think to get her name and telephone number? I would inquire upon the fraud unit of your police dept... and see if they can help you in any way. Changing your information you gave her. Such as drivers license numbers. i don't know. But they know what options you have.

Now probably she doesn't even live in virginia She probably lives in another country. I know when i placed a add on craigslist people would write from every country available offering me what I was looking for and offer free shipping etc and a real cheap price. And i always turned them down. Shipping is very expensive and offering it free just doesn't click. You are probably okay. But At least consider changing your phone number and hopefully this is one of lifes lessons.

Take care and hope it all works out but I really think you and your family be okay. If you gave her any bank info might want to let them know. or change account name. And get that money back from google checkout? She may try posing as you and try to use it. thats all i can offer sorry dave

Of course it's a scam - that's why every Craigslist cars page has a big warning across the top in capital letters that you can't miss saying OFFERS TO SHIP CARS ARE 100% FRAUDULENT

If you want to ignore this warning that can't be any clearer, then you are just sending money to a Nigerian scammer who is using it to buy a car for himself

Nobody is going to spend over $1500 shipping a car cross country that's already cheap when they would have NO problem finding a local buyer or dealer. And if she is in Virginia, then WHY would they post the car on YOUR local LA craiglist rather than Craigslist in Virginia? Of course this is a scam

If you want further proof, write back to say that you have a friend in Washington DC who will come over to check out the car and if it's in good condition you'l send the money. I can guarantee they will come up with excuses why it isn't possible
