Is it unrealistic to think i can have a career once all my kids are in school full time?

Does anyone have experience with this?

I'm a stay at home mom currently. Thanks for your time!

It is certainly possible and doable. I know many stay home moms who gradually re-entered the work force after their youngest went to school. But as someone who worked throughout the school years, the one suggestion I would offer is to try to find something that allows you some flexibility to take time off for school events. From being a parent helper in your first grader's elementary classroom to organizing a girl scout troop in middle school to chaperoning a music trip in high school, there are countless times when you will want to be involved. I am so thankful that my job allowed me a chance to do these things, but it helped that I planned ahead for just that.

It's very possible but can be alot of work, I personally don't have children but when my sister went on a very belated honeymoon she left her son with me, at that time I had an extreamly demanding career I worked 60 hour weeks regularly, of course it meant some changes during that time I had alot less sleep and had to move work schedual around responsibility a bit but I was still able to manage (one day on the weekend needed to bring him along for a couple hours) other than that I was able to keep both seperate. This is very doable, the only draw back would be likely less sleep and if one of your children is ill youll need to make the choice jepordize the career and care for your child or get a very reliable sitter your children like

Why couldn't you? Plenty of moms have careers now while the kids are in daycare, school is no different. Many schools offer after school babysitting till 6 pm, and if your elementary school doesn't, the YMCA has elementary babysitting and middle school "programs" to keep all the kids safe and monitored after school. A mom can easily work 9-5 and have a great career.

My mother stayed at home and only occasionally worked parttime jobs. When I was 15 (im the youngest of 3) she got a job as a fulltime teacher. The key is to get a degree or work on a certificate or degree whenever you get the chance and yes you can get a job later in life. My mom was 45 before she got her fulltime teaching job. She got her bachelors degree back in the 70s.

You stated you certainly should be a housewife. What makes you think of it is not available, interior the long-term? quite, you're able to desire to choose if money or family members is extra considerable to you. quite often, the 2nd earnings is high quality, yet once you will possibly desire to pay for daycare and babysitters it is going to flow noticeably speedy, and you will omit out on seeing your infants enhance up. A instructors' income is probably no longer plenty, yet once you do no longer concepts basically going out to consume as quickly as each week and having basically one motor vehicle (to illustrate), you would be only high quality. you have a fiance who i anticipate may help your determination. Will he be satisfied in case you opt to be a housewife? if so, i do no longer likely see any problems. flow forward and end the scientific tech diploma. Get married to the affection of your life. Ger a activity in regardless of you come across (in case you like the extra effective earnings - to help repay your husband's loans) till you and your husband have a toddler, and then stop your "genuine" activity and enhance right into a housewife. you will saving $40000 of loans, and it appears like that's what you desire to do besides!
