I bleached my dark brown hair to golden blonde mnths ago...can I turn it to a lighter blonde with less golden tones or eliminating the golden tones all together without bleach? I was suggested to use hair dye for woman of color, its a bit harsh but not as bad as bleach and its effective?!?

You can try a toner.
use it with a 20 volume developer.

To remove the golden color, just dye over it with a slightly greyer color. No, not old lady grey, but just a little less aturated. Your hair might look a little funky, but without bleach that may be all you can do.
