yesterday i saw a guy that was a vet holding a sign that said homeless and would work for food it got to me so i gave him enough for a coke or  coffee . he must of been a vietnam vet and i just think its horrible that allot of good people are losing everything they have worked hard for and some wont be able to retire they lost there 401k and what about helping some out by opening up some of these homes sitting empty that these banks have and let decent homeless families  live in till they get a job and enough money to get a place. heck we gave billions and didn't get a kiss or a thank you

To my knowledge, Obama does not have a specific plan to help the homeless.

First off, you should never give them money.  Many of them will give you a sad story but if you give them money they will use it for drugs or booze.  If you try to give them food they will turn it down and say they just want money.  Some people are truly in need, but the majority of the ones who are out there holding signs are there because it is easy and fast money.  Some people make hundreds of dollars a day playing on unsuspecting people's sympathies.  That being said, I don't think Obama has said anything about a plan to help the homeless.
