The Other People? (For Christians)?

Genesis 17 has God establishing a covenant with Abraham and all his descendants. God specifically states this several times, that the deal is with the sons of Abraham only. The New Testament also makes it clear that Jesus is both a fulfillment and continuation of that covenant.

So what about the rest of us? At the time of Abraham, my ancestors were running around Northern Europe bashing each other with stone axes. I, and most humans, are not sons of Abraham.

So why do Christians assume that their rules apply to everyone?

Dunno. Why do people read "the Book of God" when he didn't publish it? Instead, you read a book that someone made and you just have to "believe" that person is right. I don't remember the last time I actually trust a stranger, let alone where there is no real facts to the bible. Oh I know, you have to believe in your heart, right? That's so true, especially since your heart has no logical sense at all. Hmm...maybe you do follow your heart.

Christians do not assume. From the words of the apostle Paul this very topic was raised to the Galatians.

He wrote through inspiration of the Holy Spirit
" For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Galatians 3:26-29

It doesnt matter who you are, where you you were born, what race you are from. what colur of skin you have, what sex you are or if you were once an athiest. If you accept Christ through faith as your Saviour , you are also heirs of Abraham and therefore under the covernant which Christ fulfilled.

Research the appearance of the word Gentiles in the New Testament.

I believe that if you study further you will find that before Jesus departed, He told His deciples to teach the Gospel to Others

Edit: Galatians 2 may answer it.
