In a conversation, do you really listen or just wait for your turn to speak?

In YA do you just ask and answer, or do you read the other answers as well?

I listen to both the words and the vibes. They don't always match. I'd rather listen and learn than speak to just here myself talk.

In conversations, I find that if I am truly involoved and interested in the conversation, then I do listen. There are times when I am obligated to speak to certain people who I do not want to speak with, and then I generally just sort of wait for my turn to speak to hurry the conversation to an end as soon as possible. However, if it is with someone with whom I want to speak to, then I truly listen to what they have to say; therefore, I am able to offer knowledgeable and well rounded feed back.

As for Y!A, I do read the other answers sometimes, but usually it is after I have written my own answer. I do like to see other people's points of view because perhaps I am not seeing the whole picture. Believe it or not, I'm not always right. Lol, just kidding. ;)

In YA, I like reading others ideas and incorporating it into mines. Sometimes there is a "Oh, why didn't i realize that" moment" xD But if I see that I'm first, I'd answer so that I get a good spot.

But if you meant actual conversation, I usually have something to say when I'm caught up

If I'm truly interested in what the other person is saying, then I really listen. Otherwise, I hate to say, that I just wait for my turn to speak. Sometimes I don't even wait for my turn, I just sidebust. I need to work on that.

It depends actually. If I just think the other person is just saying nonsense then I'd just wait for my turn. But either way sometimes, even when I'm not listening, another person's words do sink in.
It depends what kind of question I'm about to answer.
