4 weeks after plan b...whats going on?

I had unprotected sex 4 weeks ago...i took plan b about 7 hours later. I followed directions...i took it right. About 2 days later, I was spotting just a little...that lasted about 2 days. Now, my period is late 2 weeks. I've taken 2 pregnancy tests...both negative. Could the spotting be considered my period?...Does Plan b really make your period that late??...any experience stories, or any advise at all is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Yes, Plan B can make your period that late, and no, the spotting was not your period. Just a side effect.

If your ovulation was delayed, which is how Plan B is supposed to work, then your period will be correspondingly delayed. Sometimes it can take a while for everything to get back to normal.

My girlfriend took it and her period was early. If your period is 2 weeks late but your tests are negative then you should be fine. Plan b does a lot of different things to different girls bodies so it's not always predictable

do you still have the package the plan b pill came in? See if it says anything on there about it, or look up the brand you took.

It's true that birth control pills mess with your period.
It might be possible that this one, powerful as it is, has made your period pretty late.

I'm not sure if you are supposed to take it if you are breastfeeding, as I have read a lot of contraceptive pills are not prescribed until baby had been weaned onto solids. If you aren't breastfeeding, I guess nothing to worry about. You are very very fertile in the months after giving birth, next time I'd get him to wear a condom :)

I don't know but i think that stuff works by making your uterus shed it's lining ( and any oocyte that has imbedded) so, it would then be like you had your rags that day. Be safe next time.
