Hi Poppy...
Just received a VN for asking "How many Remote Controls do you have in your home?" Asked this yesterday- Closed the question- Picked BA-

Yes, I've had problems with Trolls...Despite my best efforts they continue to trail me, along with some of my valued Contacts/Friends. I'm here for fun, socialization, and a few laughs. I will never understand the mindset of those who have other motives. Some have multiple accounts, and no matter how much effort one puts in, the Trolls find them...Guess they are very miserable and unhappy ppl- Poor Souls!

Have a Nice Easter! Don't let them get you down. All you can do is keep coming back....Take care! ;-)

Poppy, if I had that problem, I wouldn't log into YA for a little while. I would lay low. And it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to take a closer look at your contacts. Anyone who is at an entry or low-level should be reconsidered as to whether you want them as friends / contacts / fans. Once point levels get high seems to be when the trolls are most active on reporting. They seem to be trying to knock all the good competition out by reporting their higher-level contacts as much as possible.

So, if I had a lot of contacts, I would look to see when those people became active. Or you could email a friend you trust who also has lots of contacts and ask your friend if you have any of the same contacts and are considered "questionable." Because some of my friends and contacts are eliminating the people who aren't their avid fans, I no longer get nearly as many questions in my email box. I understand why some of my contacts who have tons of fans have to eliminate some of their innocent fans. Sure, it's not as much fun to delete some of your contacts, but I think it might be the smart thing to do. Then, trolls will have to go out of their way to try and find your questions. Or, if you don't want to lay low and hide for a while to see if you can lose your troll, then you probably need to eliminate some more of your contacts. It's what I'd do. No innocent sounding questions should be considered to be a reported "violation" in my opinion. Any innocent questions you asked and received a violation notice for, you need to contest the questions or answers that were reported as violations with YA.

I hope you can lose your troll. But I don't think it's wise to ignore all of your contacts... start doing a little investigating of your own. I'm not on YA as much as I used to be and trolls are partially the reason why. Some YA accounts just have to be blocked. And don't respond to hateful or criticizing emails from people you don't know. Just hit the delete key or ban those people that you don't trust. I eliminated those people who aren't here at YA very much and who have a low amount of points. And be very careful when you answer random questions from people you don't know anything about.

Best of luck to you, my friend.

The higher one gets, the more trolls one attracts. It is the way of Yahoo. I find that if you stay true to the plan that was successful in the beginning then you'll be O.K.
Never answer hate mail from people under level 5.
Always fight your violations
Check the timing of contacts and fans with violation notice.
You must be watchful over your account or your going to be attacked successful. Never make all your new friends (contacts ) pay for the sins of the few. However they will understand if they are honest individuals and will later re add you.
If not then you didn't need them as contacts anyways.
Be selective about whom one adds as well to eliminate future problems. It's worked for me.
GOD BLESS! Poppy!
Have a blessed Easter and a wonderful week ahead.

Yes and the more points you get, seems they tend to come out more.

But, just don't allow anyone under level 4 to be your contacts unless you really know of them.....

I would not make a Second account, people tend to say your a troll for having more than one account, and usually that is true, cause people with more than one account is a target as well....

Do not answer rude emails, just delete and don't let them know it even bothered you.

Next, watch the starring, if you keep seeing someone that is starring post, but never answers and your post is getting everyone a TD, there is your little troll.

That is how I catch the little devils and you can also spot a troll, they will go to everyone of your posts, answers it with rude remarks, and TD them as well

Just be really careful who you add as a contact..

I am emailing you something right now

Before I answer a question, I always look at the profile page of the asker and see what point level they are. If it's a level one with less than 100 points and the Q&A and Contacts are private, I avoid answering the question.
When I do find a troll, I use their own red flags against them.
