It depends on so many things such as your age, past pregnancies, how you respond to treatment, your egg and embryo quality, and the success of you clinic. If you are young or have been pregnant your odds of conceiving the first try are higher but if you are older or have never been pregnant your odds are lower. If you are in the US check out sart.org for success rates of clinics in your area.

Know that lots of women do have success on the first try but for some like me it can take longer and for some they never succeed. I started IVF when I was 37 and have done 4 cycles. I fell pregnant once but later miscarried. The whole process is, physically, not to bad, but it can be an emotional roller coaster especially if you fail cycles. Some women have difficulty on the meds but I did not. I was just really tired. The injections seem horrifying but they are really not. That was the scariest part for me but now I'm an old pro. I do have frozen embryos and will be doing a frozen embryo transfer when I am ready.

I answered another IVF question before this (and many others!) about the timeline you may want to peek at. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Good luck!

Given that IVF simplest claims a good fortune cost of approximately 33%, there isn't a cause to suppose that this 3rd time goes to be a failure as good. Of direction this can be a probability, however simply since the first 2 had been screw ups is not any cause to feel this one might be as good. Now we certainly not obtained so far as IVF (we had been intended to... however that is one more tale) however did have a couple of IUIs. It wasn't till after 6 screw ups with IUIs (with the RE not able to deliver us any cause) that we gave up on IUIs.

Hey I have found a news article online for you to read about the process itself. If you search "IVF" on yahoo answers on the advanced search option it may give you some other peoples experiences.
